About The Position

Strategic Analytics is a growing team at Arch that uses real-time analytics and intelligent data automation to improve profitability and accelerate business growth. The team applies technologies including Agentic AI, large language models, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and algorithmic-based actions. The AVP AI & Automation leads the development of end-to-end data extraction and enrichment capabilities to enhance digital operations across underwriting and claims. The role collaborates with senior business leaders, underwriters, IT and process management teams, external vendors, and Strategic Analytics colleagues to design and deploy AI solutions. It also leads workflow optimization, mentors offshore resources, and works with stakeholders to advance Arch’s Gen AI Center of Excellence. The position reports to the SVP of AI & Automation.

Requirements

At least 3 years of AI engineering experience.
At least 3 years of data science experience.
At least 8 years of work experience in data science, AI, automation, or engineering.
Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Comfort handling ambiguous concepts and breaking complex problems into manageable pieces.
Resilient problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with different target audiences.
Experience defining technology requirements to enhance business processes and business optimization.
Flexibility to meet changing requirements and priorities.
College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

At least 5 years of Python development experience.
Property and casualty insurance business process analysis, process improvement, and automation experience.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Partner with the SVP of AI & Automation and business units to analyze workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions aligned with business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help establish Arch’s Gen AI Center of Excellence and promote best practices and innovation in AI-driven solutions.
Maintain relationships with senior leaders, provide project updates, and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, including offshore resources, to deliver scalable technology solutions.
Define technology requirements that enhance business processes, improve efficiency, and support business optimization.
Mentor offshore resources and collaborate with stakeholders to improve the Gen AI Center of Excellence.
