About The Position

The AVP – Regulatory Reporting assists the VP with ensuring the timely and accurate completion and filing of regulatory and internal reports for all bank subsidiaries and the consolidated company. This position has the opportunity to interface with, and have a positive impact on, multiple areas of Wintrust's business. Requirements

  • 5-10 years of related experience (public accounting preferred but not required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Understanding of processes/accounting related to banking/financial services.
  • Experience preparing bank Call Reports or similar quarterly/annual reports preferred.
  • Experience with Workday GL, OfficeConnect, and Regulatory reporting software preferred.
  • Ability to leverage advanced Excel and Power Query to automate data workflows is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the continuous update and maintenance of mapping files and report designs that are affected by new regulatory rulings, GL account configurations, bank system changes, and product offerings.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of all weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual regulatory reports for all bank charters, and nonbank subsidiaries.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the holding company FRY9LP, and the consolidated company FRY9C, including the maintenance and design of supporting workpapers.
  • Keep abreast of bank regulatory reporting changes, new company product offerings, internal system changes, and translate those changes into new mapping and report designs to gather and report on new data requirements while maintaining and updating detailed procedure documentation for new and ongoing regulatory requirements and processes.
  • Assist in the completion of management reports, including Risk Based Capital projections, FDIC Assessment accruals, and Uninsured Deposits for all bank charters.
  • Participate in special projects on accounting and financial reporting matters as may be assigned by management or the VP of Regulatory Reporting.
