About The Position

Radiology Partners is a leading radiology practice in the U.S., serving hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide. This position will lead the organization's enterprise privacy program, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). The role serves as the subject matter expert on healthcare privacy, developing and overseeing privacy risk management, including risk assessments, incident response, breach management, and privacy-by-design across clinical and technology environments. Collaboration with Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, and Operations is key to integrating privacy into imaging platforms, AI technologies, cloud solutions, vendor management, and strategic initiatives. The position involves establishing and maintaining privacy policies, training programs, audits, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen organizational compliance and data protection practices. Additionally, the AVP, Privacy will lead and mentor the privacy team, fostering cross-functional collaboration, driving accountability, and supporting a culture of compliance and patient data protection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Professional privacy certification required (e.g., CIPP/US).
  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare privacy, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
  • At least 5 years leading enterprise privacy or compliance programs.
  • Deep expertise in HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules.
  • Deep expertise in vendor risk management.
  • Deep expertise in healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Experience implementing privacy programs for healthcare technology, including EHRs, PACS/RIS, cloud platforms, AI, incident response, and privacy training.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (JD, MPH, MBA, MHA, or similar) preferred.
  • Healthcare privacy, compliance, or security certifications (CHPC, CHPS, CISSP, CHC, CCEP) are highly preferred.

Responsibilities
