We are seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP), Technology Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions. This role partners with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, QA, and operations teams to deliver strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives and product roadmaps. The ideal candidate is a hands-on with strong expertise in application development, cloud technologies, databases, DevOps, and modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted software development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, application architecture, and enterprise solution delivery.
  • Preferred development background using .NET/C# or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
  • Strong database experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience designing REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architectures.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and software design patterns.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring development teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise applications and services.
  • Design and develop scalable solutions using service-oriented and microservices architectures.
  • Participate in and provide leadership across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Drive cloud-native development initiatives leveraging AWS services and best practices.
  • Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines using Git-based source control and deployment tools.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, quality, and security standards.
  • Utilize AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT to improve developer productivity and accelerate software delivery.
