About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Assistant Vice President, People Business Partner to support the Product & Technology business unit and help drive organizational effectiveness and continued business growth at LPL Financial. This role will serve as a strategic People Business Partner to leaders across the Product & Technology organization. The Assistant Vice President, People Business Partner will partner closely with Product and Technology leadership teams to facilitate business and Human Capital strategy execution while providing consultation and coaching on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement, change management, leadership development, and compensation-related matters. The successful candidate will balance strategic consultation with hands-on execution and collaborate across the Human Capital organization to design and implement solutions that enable business performance, leadership effectiveness, talent outcomes, and employee success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including Human Resources Business Partner experience supporting complex organizations.
  • Experience supporting Director and Vice President-level leaders.
  • Experience in talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, employee relations, leadership coaching, and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience utilizing workforce analytics and talent data to support business decisions.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Product, Technology, Digital, or Corporate business functions preferred.
  • Experience developing executive presentations and talent-focused materials to inform and influence business decisions.
  • Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated industries preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and workforce analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting high-growth organizations and navigating organizational change at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Human Capital partner for assigned Product and Technology client groups, aligning talent strategies to business priorities and organizational objectives.
  • Provide overall Human Capital leadership and counsel, serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders on talent-related opportunities and challenges.
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned to Product & Technology business objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive Human Capital strategies, policies, and practices in the areas of performance management, workforce planning, leadership development, talent management, compensation, employee engagement, retention, organizational effectiveness, change management, professional development, culture, and inclusion.
  • Build and execute talent management plans that strengthen organizational capability and support business growth objectives.
  • Advise leaders on talent opportunities and organizational challenges, providing practical and innovative solutions to complex people issues.
  • Partner with leaders to assess talent, identify capability gaps, and support succession planning and leadership development discussions.
  • Utilize workforce analytics, talent metrics, and business insights to inform decision-making and drive talent strategies.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital Centers of Excellence, including Compensation & Benefits, Talent Development, Learning, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Relations, HR Operations, and Workforce Analytics to deliver integrated talent solutions.
  • Actively manage performance management processes and escalations while ensuring consistency, compliance, and appropriate documentation.
  • Provide strategic guidance and execution support for organizational design and workforce planning initiatives supporting Product & Technology organizations.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives that support Human Capital and business objectives.
  • Represent and advocate for assigned client groups to help improve Human Capital programs, policies, processes, and employee experiences.
  • Support Product & Technology business transformation initiatives by helping leaders navigate organizational change, evolving workforce needs, and employee impacts.
  • Develop and maintain presentations, executive materials, talent reviews, and workforce insights to support leadership discussions and decision-making.
  • Facilitate and deliver training, leadership discussions, and organizational effectiveness initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of inclusive talent programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, development, and performance.
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities while balancing strategic consulting and operational execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
