About The Position

The AVP-Infusion will oversee and lead medication infusion services for the organization and serve as the national subject matter expert on medication infusion services. This role will participate in the development and implementation of strategic goals and objectives, policies, procedures, and budgets. The position involves identifying opportunities to expand, contract, and grow de novo infusion sites of care to drive quality and efficiency of revenue integrity. Collaboration with external and inter-department stakeholders is key to ensuring the development, programming, implementation, and system technology integration for patient-focused services. The role also ensures compliance with all state and federal requirements including Joint Commission, United States Pharmacopeia (USP), Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC), and other accreditation bodies. Additionally, the AVP-Infusion will provide medication infusion services recommendations to other teams to optimize electronic health records, charge master, automation, smart pumps, etc. Within the scope of the job, this role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. The role requires following Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements

  • Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required
  • 7 years of experience required.
  • 5 years of cumulative leadership or management experience required.
  • Must have prior hospital experience (5-7 yrs)
  • Strong communicator

  • Pharmacy Residency preferred.
