Requirements

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, Accounting Standards Codification, account reconciliations, and financial statements; ability to analyze monthly financial results and complex transactions.
  • Experience with automated accounting and financial systems; proficiency with Oracle reporting tools (e.g., Discoverer), ad hoc queries, database query tools, and financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook) and other advanced software applications.
  • Strong analytical, detail‑oriented approach with excellent organizational, time‑management, and multi‑project management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead, organize, and supervise; works effectively independently and in teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5-7 years of experience at a supervisory level required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

Nice To Haves

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience preferred
  • CPA highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct the prioritization of activities within the department and allocate resources as needed (including journal entries, reconciliations and reporting)
  • Support internal management reporting, SEC reporting and quarterly/ year-end audits
  • Make recommendations and implement process and procedure improvements
  • Provide guidance on the operation of various general ledger systems and monitor and resolve system issues
  • Conduct and/or participate in meetings with different teams throughout the organization to develop an understanding of projects impacting the general ledger system or treasury management system and the associated impact to the department
  • Manage and develop team members by establishing annual performance goals and assessing annual performance
  • Complete special projects and participate in system testing as needed
