About The Position

The AVP, Enterprise Infrastructure Support role at TD, a leading global financial institution and the fifth largest bank in North America, involves leading and managing a team of Infrastructure Support Specialists, Product Owners, and Engineers. This team is responsible for providing 24/7 global L1 Network Support and L2 support services across various infrastructure domains including Network, Security Tools, Public Cloud (Azure, GCP), Private Cloud, and the TD enterprise delivery pipeline. The AVP will also act as the Product Owner for TD’s Network Operations Tools, defining strategy, priorities, and enhancements, and developing support strategies for over 200 global TD resources, including managed service providers. The position requires applying deep enterprise and industry knowledge to guide functional design, policy development, and operating standards, and providing strategic guidance to practitioners, partners, and executives. Key responsibilities include managing portfolio priorities and financials, facilitating strategic discussions with senior leaders, and establishing operational direction with a focus on long-term planning. Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience managing Critical Enterprise infrastructure in a large-scale regulated business.
  • Experience Managing Network, Public Cloud (Azure, GCP), Private Clouds, Security Applications.
  • 15 + years of demonstrated cross functional Major incident management.
  • 5 years of infrastructure product management/development with a focus on operational tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with engineering product owners across Infrastructure and security domains with a focus on operational improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive efficiently with Incident Automation Vendor Management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Infrastructure Support Specialists, Product Owners, and Engineers responsible for 24/7 global L1 Network Support and L2 support services across Network, Security Tools, Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and the TD enterprise delivery pipeline.
  • Serve as Product Owner for TD’s Network Operations Tools, defining strategy, priorities, and enhancements.
  • Develop and execute support strategies for more than 200 global TD resources, including oversight of two managed service providers.
  • Set direction for the discipline, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Apply deep enterprise and industry knowledge to guide functional design, policy development, and operating standards.
  • Provide coaching and strategic guidance to practitioners, partners, and executives.
  • Partner with leadership to manage portfolio priorities and financials, identifying efficiencies and emerging opportunities across Engineering.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions with senior leaders and influence long‑term direction through roadmaps, frameworks, and recommendations.
  • Establish operational direction and collaborate across teams to achieve shared goals, with a focus on long‑term planning.
  • Ensure adherence to all delivery frameworks and methodologies, and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Ensure Function follows applicable internal and external requirements, while ensuring risks are identified and monitored, and key controls and processes are effectively managed.
  • Lead relationship with Engineering Product Owners and provide regular operational reporting which will allow for product improvements both tactical and strategically.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations.
  • Define the OKRs in partnership with Management team and engineering stakeholders across supported platforms.
  • Keep abreast of emerging industry trends, product needs/visions, and evolving regulatory requirements, assessing potential impacts to platform resiliency.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
