This is a unique opportunity to lead Canadian Tire Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management function while helping build and mature the Bank’s next generation Financial Risk Management capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the AVP, Enterprise & Financial Risk Management is responsible for leading Canadian Tire Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management function while establishing and maturing the Bank’s Financial Risk Management oversight capabilities. The role provides independent oversight and challenge of the Bank’s overall risk profile, including credit, capital, liquidity, interest rate, strategic, model and emerging risks. Working closely with Executive Leadership, Finance, Treasury and business partners, the incumbent will ensure risks are appropriately identified, measured, monitored, managed and reported in alignment with the Bank’s Risk Appetite Framework, strategic objectives and regulatory expectations. The AVP plays a key role in supporting Executive and Board decision-making through risk governance, forward-looking risk analysis, stress testing, capital and liquidity oversight, regulatory engagement and independent challenge. This is a builder role requiring a leader who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, influencing executives and personally developing the frameworks, oversight programs, testing approaches and governance structures needed to establish and mature the Bank’s Financial Risk Management capability.
