Centra Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for an AVP Commercial Delivery Credit Manager in Columbus, Indiana. The AVP Commercial Delivery Credit Manager manages credit analysis, credit memo preparation, portfolio administration, reporting, and member-facing activities conducted by Credit Analysts and Portfolio Managers, while collaborating with Operations and Sales Team Members in the production of the same. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
  • A minimum of five years up to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Credit related functions of the Credit Delivery line of business.
  • Coaches, trains, and mentors Credit Analysts and Portfolio Managers, and their workflow.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Operations Team Members and their respective functions.
  • Ensures timely and accurate statement spreading, cash flow analysis, credit analysis, credit memo commentary and preparation, collateral analysis, and underwriting of Commercial, Business Banking, Special Purpose Credit Program, and SBA lending.
  • Conducts industry, competition, market, and borrower research and analysis.
  • Responsible for credit quality outcomes, including delinquency, charge-off, loan workout, and recovery.
  • Oversees the preparation of Annual Reviews, collection of Financial Reporting Requirements, and Covenant Testing, and their reporting.
  • Approves loan requests, ACH and RDC requests, Annual Reviews, Covenant Waivers, Modifications, and Maturity Extensions, within approved limits.
  • Conducts Portfolio Stress Testing.
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of Credit Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
  • Supervisory duties include performance management, training, and development, and demonstrating and cultivating Centra s Vision, Mission, Culture, and Core Values.
  • Ensures in collaboration with Commercial leadership team in reporting and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, loan programs, laws, and regulations.
  • Authors, revises, and/or provides input on Member Business Lending Loan Policy, procedures, Lending Authority Limits, job aids, and ancillary approval limits.
  • Ensures accuracy of documentation, including verifying loan documents, and the integrity of the loan approval process, approvers, and documentation.
  • Ensures the accuracy of Commitment letters, in adherence to loan approvals.
  • Ensures adherence to required due diligence, closing requirements, advance mechanics, and for the review and quality control of the same.
  • Oversees compliance with construction lending best practices and the construction lending procedure, including ensuring accuracy of construction monitoring and reporting.
  • Serves as Administrator for the Loan Origination System and will assist with related vendor products and solutions.
  • Thinks strategically regarding the workflow, seeking efficiencies, pursuing operational excellence, and executing tactically.
  • Develops and updates written procedures regarding commercial lending functions, product guidelines and applicable workflows.
  • Provides ongoing review ensuring that they meet the needs of the credit union and following state, federal and investor guidelines.
  • Maintains working knowledge of commercial lending regulations, ensuring that the Portfolio Managers are trained and adhered to these requirements.
  • Collaborates with Operations in producing materials for and participating in Internal Audits, third-party loan reviews, and State and Federal Examinations.
  • Organizes and facilitates Loan Committees, including ensuring accuracy of Loan Committee Minutes.
  • Performs the duties of Credit Analyst and Portfolio Manager, as needed.
