About The Position

The AVP, Client Banking Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, performance, and development of a team of Client Banking Officers. This role ensures delivery of consistent, high-quality client experience while supporting operational effectiveness, compliance, and service-level objectives. The AVP partners closely with senior leaders to execute departmental priorities, support client needs, and maintain strong internal partnerships across the bank. This role operates as a hands-on people manager, balancing team oversight with direct involvement in complex client servicing and issue resolution. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

Requirements

  • High School diploma 
  • 4-6 years of prior banking or financial services industry experience and or related work experience and/or training. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, adherence to ECCHO Rules, NACHA Rules.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short and long-term basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily workflow and staffing needs, including task delegation, scheduling, call monitoring, and ensuring adequate coverage to meet client and business demands.
  • Manage, support, coach, and train employees.
  • Support & oversees onboarding and servicing of complex account types including contractual-based accounts such as DACA, Escrow, Bancontrol, Pledged, Promontory, and Fiduciary accounts ensuring adherence to service standards and operational requirements. 
  • Utilizes workforce management system to monitor calls and completes quality forms.  Provides coaching and training on improving the overall service experience. Tracks and measures team member results.
  • Assists with escalated issues from Community Banking, Business Banking, and Specialty Banking, CRE/Loan Servicing and other internal lines of businesses. Ensures all issues are resolved and supports the company’s goals and values.
  • Processes, reconciles and/or approves routine and complex transactions of varying risk and financial value in accordance with established policies and procedures. Identifies and addresses exceptions and may resolve escalated items. Partners internally with service partners to route calls, documents or other action items to complete transactions.
  • Conduct quality and process reviews, identifying trends, exceptions, or control gaps, and recommend process improvements to leadership to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. May participate in risk mitigation activities. 
  • Lead by example, demonstrating accountability, professionalism, and adherence to bank policies, internal controls, and audit requirements. 
  • Consistently evaluates processes and looks for ways to improve overall productivity and accuracy.
  • Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
  • Manage, support, coach and train employees.
  • Follow all established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
