About The Position

This job description is only available in French. Are you a lawyer looking for a firm where collaboration truly comes before competition? What if you could practice your profession in an environment where cases belong to the team rather than a single person, where knowledge sharing is part of daily life, and where the annual target is only 1,000 billable hours? Our client, a well-established law firm in Outaouais and Montreal, wishes to welcome a lawyer with at least three years of experience in business law, commercial litigation, and/or succession litigation. The firm relies on a resolutely collaborative approach based on professional autonomy, trust, mutual aid, and a balanced distribution of cases. Here, performance is not measured solely by the number of hours billed, but also by the quality of work, contribution to the team, and client relationships. Your role Reporting to the firm's management and working closely with other lawyers and team members, you will handle various cases corresponding to your area of expertise and professional interests. You will advise and represent clients, develop legal strategies adapted to their needs, and ensure rigorous case management, all while operating within a culture where knowledge, responsibilities, and mandates are genuinely shared. The position is primarily based in downtown Gatineau, with the possibility of using the Montreal offices when certain meetings, activities, or mandates require a presence in that region.
