The lawyer will be working on coverage files in addition to managing important litigation cases in the construction, professional liability and financial risk sectors in Quebec, the rest of Canada, or even in the United States, on behalf of our insurer clients, most of whom are part of the London market. The candidate could also be called upon to plead before the courts on certain coverage matters, if desired. The candidate will also be asked to provide coverage advice to insurers across a broad spectrum of policies such as CGL, wrap up, professional indemnity, cyber product liability and recall, D&O, crime and others. Due to the pan-Canadian and global structure of Clyde & Co, our lawyers will frequently collaborate and interact with English-speaking clients residing both in Canada and abroad. Fluency in English is therefore required given the nature of the professional services provided to this international clientele. More specifically, but not exhaustively, our lawyers will need to be able to provide complex legal advice and opinions in English, draft pleadings and memos, and prepare and conduct examinations.
