About The Position

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. This is a contract role expected to last 3-6 months with potential for extension. The role involves developing hardware-in-the-loop test equipment, troubleshooting test failures, and supporting testing of Avionics systems and components across hardware and software, including environmental qualification. The engineer will also write test plans and procedures, document design issues, and collaborate with engineering teams for resolution. Additional responsibilities include supporting avionics production, executing system checkouts on the integrated vehicle, and providing delegate Functional Leadership as required. The position requires working collaboratively to achieve goals and complete assigned tasks.

Requirements

Must have a B.Sc. Engineering degree from an accredited university
Experience with component and system-level testing
Experience developing test benches
Experience documenting wiring schematics
LabVIEW and/or Python development skills
Experience with Environmental/Electrical Qualification standards such as RTCA-DO160, Mil-STD 461
8 or more years of relevant integration and testing experience in aerospace or similar field
Experience with embedded system hardware and software
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
Experience with leading and mentoring Junior Engineers
Demonstrate willingness to adjust thinking and behavior.
Ability to communicate in a manner that is timely, respectful, and open to other ideas
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) to comply with ITAR regulations.

Experience with NI Veristand a plus
