About The Position

The Avionics Technician will assist with aviation maintenance tasks in accordance with company's maintenance manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable record through Empire’s policy, required.
  • Must be computer literate and have strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be capable of operating hand and power tools for minor repair work, required.
  • Must adhere to the company’s FAA/DOT required Drug & Alcohol Program, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Airframes & Powerplants Certificate (or ability to test), preferred.
  • Minimum two years of aviation maintenance / avionics experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair of avionics components, and assist with powerplants, airframes, and other components in accordance with company’s and manufacturer's maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Perform aircraft push-backs from the gate, and assist maintenance personnel in moving aircraft to and from hard stand parking.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in performing nightly aircraft exterior washes, and nightly engine compressor and turbine washes.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, maintain a professional and dignified work environment, and promote and support the mission of Empire Airlines.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
