About The Position

The Avionics Technician will assist with aviation maintenance tasks in accordance with company's maintenance manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and insurable record through Empire’s policy, required.
Must be computer literate and have strong communications skills, both oral and written.
Must be capable of operating hand and power tools for minor repair work, required.
Must adhere to the company’s FAA/DOT required Drug & Alcohol Program, required.

Nice To Haves

Airframes & Powerplants Certificate (or ability to test), preferred.
Minimum two years of aviation maintenance / avionics experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair of avionics components, and assist with powerplants, airframes, and other components in accordance with company’s and manufacturer's maintenance policies and procedures.
Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Perform aircraft push-backs from the gate, and assist maintenance personnel in moving aircraft to and from hard stand parking.
Assist maintenance personnel in performing nightly aircraft exterior washes, and nightly engine compressor and turbine washes.
Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, maintain a professional and dignified work environment, and promote and support the mission of Empire Airlines.
Other related duties as assigned.
