About The Position
Tom Wood Aviation, in Indianapolis, IN is searching for an Intermediate Avionics Technician to become a reliable member of our team at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport. The ideal candidate has a keen attention to detail, high-quality workmanship, and ensures that all work complies with federal aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in aircraft avionics maintenance.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex avionics systems independently.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair more complex avionics issues.
- Install, calibrate, and configure advanced avionics equipment, including communication, navigations, and flight control systems.
- Perform software updates and system modifications as required.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company standards, and aircraft maintenance programs.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Level 1 technicians, promoting skill development.
