About The Position

To perform all phases of repair, maintenance or modification on aircraft or component parts to include dismantling, repairing, assembling and erection of machinery and mechanical devices and the exchange and replacement of electrical equipment or electrical components. This role requires performing scheduled and unscheduled inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification on aircraft electrical and avionics systems in accordance with applicable Federal Air Regulations (FARs) and the Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM). The technician will fabricate and install aircraft wiring to engineering design specifications, including terminations of wire harnesses/bundles and connection of components. A key aspect of the role involves understanding and adhering to RSQM, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, manufacturer’s service bulletins, and other required references. The position also emphasizes maintaining a safe and clean work area, proper tagging of components, accurate documentation, correct use of tools and equipment, and striving for continuous process improvements. Communication with the Lead Technician regarding progress and potential issues is crucial, as is dealing with customers professionally and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service and timely re-delivery of airworthy aircraft. Participation in required company training is also expected.

Requirements

More than 10 years’ aircraft avionics maintenance experience on commercial narrow/wide body transport category aircraft (Boeing, Airbus) fleet types.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in oral and written English.

Able to read, interpret and apply FAA approved or accepted data (i.e. IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.
Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Aircraft avionics maintenance experience on current fleet types being maintained or modified by the Repair Station.
Valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
Experience in V/VIP custom aircraft interior completions.
Completion of General Familiarization Training Courses on current fleet types being maintained or modified by the Repair Station.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspection, maintenance, repair and modification on aircraft electrical and avionics systems in accordance with the applicable Federal Air Regulations (FARs) and the Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM).
Fabricate and install aircraft wiring to engineering design specifications, including terminations of wire harnesses/bundles and connection of components.
Become familiar with and follow the requirements of this RSQM, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circular, manufacturer’s service bulletins and any other required references to perform their assigned work.
Ensure the work area is kept to the highest standards of safety, compliant at all times, enforcing regulations and practices to avoid accidents. Ensure that good housekeeping practices are performed at all times.
Perform the proper tagging of Aircraft components, parts and panels appropriately stored (including racks by aircraft).
Perform documentation procedures and sign-offs in accordance with Repair Station Manual and respective task requirements.
Ensure that tools and equipment are correctly used and handled for both safety and to reduce breakages, wear and tear. Ensure tooling, GSE and ground equipment is returned to its proper storage area following use.
Strive for continuous process improvements and increasing efficiencies in execution and delivery with safety as a priority.
Maintain close and frequent communication with the Lead Technician, notifying him/her of progress and any road-blocks or threats to task accomplishment that could impact re-delivery.
Deal with customers in a cordial, respectful and professional manner.
Ensure the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable and clean aircraft, in a timely manner.
Take part in any required training as determined by the company.
