About The Position
This role involves learning to assemble and install helicopter avionics parts, including wire harnesses, avionic parts, instrument panels, and wired assemblies. The trainee will use hand and power tools, following blueprints and specifications to ensure high-quality work. The position requires fabricating and installing smaller avionic parts and harness assemblies, inspecting, trimming, and routing wire harness assemblies, installing electrical terminal boards, and assisting with wiring. Additionally, the role includes routing wiring harnesses in seat structures and installing associated mounting hardware, parts, and brackets, while adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean work area.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience in wire harness assemblies or production assemblies.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and specifications to include Electrical drawings, schematics or wiring diagrams.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform precise work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic shop math skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Aviation and automotive or assembly experience is a plus.
- Previous mechanical assembly, wire harness build-up or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Technical or vocational training preferred.
Responsibilities
