About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Avionics Software Certification Engineer to support the certification and compliance of safety-critical embedded software used in aerospace systems. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in DO-178B/C standards, software verification, and certification documentation. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure software products meet aviation regulatory requirements and are ready for certification reviews.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
Experience working with DO-178B or DO-178C software certification standards.
Knowledge of software development and verification processes for safety-critical embedded systems.
Experience reviewing certification documents and compliance artifacts.
Understanding of software requirements traceability and verification methodologies.
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Review software development lifecycle artifacts to ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standards.
Prepare, review, and maintain certification documentation for aerospace software programs.
Support certification activities throughout the software development and verification lifecycle.
Participate in technical reviews, audits, and regulatory assessments.
Analyze certification issues and work with engineering teams to resolve compliance gaps.
Ensure software requirements, design documents, test procedures, and verification results meet certification standards.
Support Stage of Involvement (SOI) reviews and customer certification activities.
Maintain complete traceability between requirements, design, code, and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to aerospace quality processes.
Contribute to continuous process improvements and documentation quality.
