The Aerospace Corporation, operating a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC), is seeking a qualified individual to manage and lead a team of Engineering & Technology Group (ETG) engineers. This role involves evaluating, certifying, and providing mission assurance for Avionics systems used on Blue Origin's New Glenn launch vehicle for the United States Space Force. The successful candidate will ensure the ETG provides technically sound assessments and recommendations to leadership within timelines and budgets for launch vehicle certification and operational mission assurance. Responsibilities also include providing direction, mentoring, and developing the team's capabilities, as well as building relationships with the Space Force, contractor counterparts (Blue Origin and suppliers), and other government agencies (NRO and NASA). This position can be filled as a Sr Project Engineer or Project Engineer, depending on experience. The Avionics Program Office team works with Guidance & Control systems, Electrical Power systems, Instrumentation, RF & Telemetry systems, and supports mission integration. This is a full-time, on-site position at the Los Angeles Space Force Base in El Segundo, CA.
