Avionics Integration Engineer

Mach IndustriesHuntington Beach, CA
$120,000 - $155,000

About The Position

Working with avionics means working at the heart of the vehicle — the core that connects and enables every other subsystem. This role is inherently collaborative, bridging (GNC), software, mechanical, and thermal disciplines to create a unified platform with the required defense capabilities. Every function depends on a robust and compatible avionics architecture, where everything needs to be developed and extensively tested, making this position critical to the vehicle’s overall performance and mission success. It’s a uniquely challenging role that balances diverse technical demands focused on electronics & software, that integrates complex systems, and ensures every component works together seamlessly to deliver cutting-edge unmanned capabilities.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience with unmanned aerial systems - Any (Preferred fixed wing & jet powered vehicles)
  • PX4 & Ardupilot development - Basic understanding of concepts
  • QGroundControl & Mission planner - configuration, calibration, mission planning.
  • Understanding of concepts and systems like Pixhawk standard, MAVLink, different types of sensors, and how they are used in Unmanned systems
  • Knowledge in RF systems - Experience with software defined radios, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of comms links
  • Network & analysis - Wireshark, iperf3, general Ip networking diagnostics
  • Fundamental electronics - Understanding of power systems, communication protocols, schematics, PCB level debugging, and experience with Altium
