About The Position
This position will be part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting the F-35 at Edwards Airforce Base, CA flight test Site. As a team member you will be involved in maintaining all aspects of the aircraft to include F-35 scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modification, inspection, wire repair, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years broad hands-on working experience in a 5 or 7 skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS avionics discipline or equivalent commercial experience such an FAA instrumentation license or 3 years F-35 specific avionics experience.
- Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and maintenance instructions.
- Experience with Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
- Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, and Supply Chain Management.
- An Interim Secret Clearance is required.
- Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Nice To Haves
- Previous flight test or military fighter F-35 aircraft maintenance experience in instrumentation and or avionics a plus.
- Proficient in wafer and hot air soldering.
- Possess an ability to work in a diverse work culture environment.
- Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks.
