The Avionics Installer will be performing avionics installations including but not limited to routing and installing wire harnesses, cannon plugs and other Avionics components. The installation technician will also be responsible for complete reworks. This position requires a strong knowledge of aircraft airframe, avionics and electronics systems. The ideal candidate will have experience providing excellent customer service, leading teams, be self-motivated and able to work independently and have 5 years of experience in aircraft avionics maintenance and installation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Avionics factory training and other electronics training classes or equivalent experience
Understanding of FAA regulations and guidelines
Must have experience working with a variety of tooling including personal hand tools, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions of a hangar and/or outside
Must possess excellent organizational and computer skills
Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate
Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
Ability to easily adapt to change and new technology
Must be goal-oriented, have exceptional attention to detail, and work well independently and with a team.
Must be able to pass a ten-year Background/Criminal/OMV/Drug Screen

Nice To Haves

5 years of experience in aircraft avionics maintenance and installation

Responsibilities

Removal and installation of panels, components and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
Stamp, bundle and install connectors on wiring.
Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft efficiently.
Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack when required.
Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
