About The Position
As a Starlink Aviation Harness Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication of a variety of harnessing products for Starlink Aviation. You will work closely with Starlink Aviation production and design engineering teams to deliver high-quality harness products to bring state-of-the-art connectivity to the global Starlink Aviation fleet. SpaceX is looking to connect a wide variety of customers all around the world - in this role, you will be directly involved and hands-on with accomplishing this mission!
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1+ years of experience using mechanical hand tools and/or electrical assembly equipment.
- 1+ years of executing mechanical or electrical build instructions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building harnessing in industrial or aerospace applications.
- IPC-620-A certification.
- Associate's degree.
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware.
- Experience in a high production environment with hands-on experience fabricating harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, or prototype development.
- Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble high-quality and reliable wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks and achieve on-time delivery of all work.
- Read, interpret, and work from drawings and controlled documentation and processes.
- Record work performed using the shop floor management system (ERP).
- Perform verification of flight hardware and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner.
- Assist with the development of production processes for first-time production runs.
- Assist with area efficiency improvement projects.
