About The Position

Join Our Team as an Avionics Electrical Systems Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment. This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Huntsville AL, Sunnyvale CA, or Littleton CO. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will serve as the technical lead and responsible product engineer for missile electronics, working in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
  • Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
  • Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
  • Experience in presentations and in written communication skills.
  • Missile design experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience for this role.
  • Current DoD Interim Secret clearance or greater, thus you are a US Citizen.
  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience with design of digital or analog circuits.
  • Experience with product qualification, requirements verification, and certification.
  • Current DoD interim Secret clearance or higher, thus US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in overseeing the production and test of electronics assemblies.
  • Experience on Space and/or Missile Defense Missions.
  • Experience in product team leadership.
  • Demonstrated good communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems.
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Existing DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an interdisciplinary technical team in the development and production of electronics circuit card assemblies, units, and related test equipment.
  • Review engineering designs, test plans, and associated manufacturing and test procedures.
  • Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.
  • Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation, review and presentation of Product Certification, and also support system level testing.
