This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, you will be responsible for electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) component selection, pedigree evaluation, component derating, part-level analyses and environmental impact assessments. You will also provide support for EEE component procurement and inventory management. Your domain expertise as a Component Engineer will help the team develop and evolve our standards for EEE component testing, screening, and qualification. In this role you will share in the team’s effort to improve the performance and reliability of our avionics systems. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills, experience, and knowledge to apply EEE components in high-reliability applications. In addition, you will need to be able to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with engineers, program managers and suppliers. You will need to be able to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
