Manufactures and installs aircraft wire harness assemblies and components using a variety of engineering data, tools and equipment in a timely and efficient fashion while ensuring quality standards are attained. This role involves manufacturing aircraft wire harness assemblies following engineering drawings, shop aids and supporting information, and installing these harnesses on final product assemblies such as interior cabinet assemblies, periphery assemblies, and circuit breaker component panels. The craftsman will produce wire fabrication using tools for wire harness manufacturing, provide guidance to less experienced craftsmen, and perform tasks for daily operation and long-term department goals. Responsibilities include wire marking, cutting, labeling, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, performing testing and verification of final product, and designing and building shop aids. The role also requires wearing safety equipment, complying with safety guidelines, producing a quality product, maintaining shop tools and equipment, maintaining an organized work area, meeting target hours, completing schedules, and maintaining regular attendance.
