About The Position

The Spring Co-Op will work on the design of avionics and electrical systems equipment installations on Single Engine and Citation Jet aircraft. The role involves preparing engineering drawings with computer-based drafting tools and designing installations for a range of aircraft equipment. The co-op will also perform engineering analyses and assist with technical studies, test procedures, certification reports, and other engineering documents. Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless otherwise approved by the hiring manager. Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation when applying; visa sponsorship is unavailable, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who need employment sponsorship.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Prefer completion of 60 hours while currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Engineering program (Mechanical or Aerospace).

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings for avionics and electrical system equipment installations using computer-based drafting tools such as CATIA and/or IAI HarnesSys.
• Design installations of cockpit displays and controls, remote line replacement units, antennas, sensors, wire bundles, and secondary support structure.
• Perform analyses requiring frequent application of engineering principles.
• Assist in preparing engineering trade studies, functional test procedures, certification reports, and other engineering documents.
