About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Technologist with hands-on expertise in Avigilon physical security solutions to support the design, deployment, administration, and optimization of enterprise security systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing video surveillance, access control, and security monitoring platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure and resilient environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Security Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise physical security systems.
  • Hands-on experience with: Avigilon Control Center (ACC), Avigilon cameras and NVR appliances, Avigilon Access Control Manager (ACM) and/or Alta Access
  • Strong knowledge of: IP networking, Video surveillance systems, Access control technologies, Security system integrations
  • Experience troubleshooting physical security hardware and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Avigilon Certified Professional (ACP) certification.
  • Experience with Genetec, LenelS2, Software House CCURE, or Milestone systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to physical security devices.
  • Experience with cloud-managed security platforms and mobile credential technologies.
  • Project management experience in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and support Avigilon Control Center (ACC) video management systems.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Avigilon cameras, NVRs, encoders, and related infrastructure.
  • Configure video analytics, appearance search, facial recognition (where applicable), and event monitoring.
  • Optimize camera placement, image quality, retention policies, and storage solutions.
  • Support and maintain Avigilon Alta Access or Avigilon ACM systems.
  • Configure access control hardware including card readers, controllers, door contacts, and locking devices.
  • Manage access permissions, credential management, and security policies.
  • Integrate access control with video surveillance and alarm systems.
  • Monitor system health and performance across enterprise security platforms.
  • Respond to security incidents, system outages, and hardware failures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Support investigations through video retrieval, exporting, and evidence preservation.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on network connectivity, VLANs, bandwidth planning, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP-based security devices and PoE infrastructure.
  • Support system upgrades, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.
  • Participate in new security technology deployments and facility expansion projects.
  • Develop technical documentation, as-built drawings, SOPs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders during implementation activities.
  • Conduct system acceptance testing and commissioning.
