About The Position
The AVID Peer Tutor position is for the 2026-2027 School Year and will be located at various school sites within the Perris Union High School District. The mission of the district is to create high-quality relevant learning opportunities for all in a safe and caring environment. The district aims to develop a high-quality, caring staff dedicated to learning and connecting students to their education and potential goals, fostering a growth mindset through collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.
Requirements
- Must attach a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must attach a most current college transcript with current course information.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
- Tutors must be available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm.
- Applicants MUST attach a copy of High School Diploma/Transcripts or GED.
- Applicants MUST attach a copy of College Transcripts with current courses listed (unofficial transcripts accepted).
Nice To Haves
- Preferred applicants will be enrolled in a 4-year college program or a 2-year community college program verified by attached college transcripts.
- Experience as a former AVID student is highly desirable.
