About The Position

Introba is seeking an Associate Principal, Aviation Technology Engineer with 8-10 years of experience in technology (ultra-low voltage/ICT systems) and security engineering and leadership. This role serves as the primary day-to-day technical representative for a major aviation program, acting as the interface between the client, prime consultant, airport stakeholders, and Introba's multidisciplinary technology engineering team. The successful candidate will have significant aviation security technology consulting and engineering experience, with a strong understanding of airport capital project delivery, design coordination, consultant relationships, and stakeholder management. Success in this role depends on the ability to recognize project risks, identify coordination issues, maintain positive relationships, and identify opportunities for Introba to add value.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of aviation security technology engineering or consulting experience.
  • Experience supporting airport planning, design, or construction projects.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience working directly with airport operators, authorities, airlines, and government agencies.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams delivering large capital aviation projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to understand technical issues and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with FAA, ICAO Annex 17, and DHS/TSA airport regulations.
  • Familiarity with phased airport construction.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a 4-year, accredited university in engineering, computer science, or other technical areas is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, etc.
  • Proficiency in BIM360 Docs/Construction Cloud.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in either a business or technical area is considered a plus.
  • Appropriate certification is desired for this position, but it is not a must. Relevant, valuable industry certifications include: PE, PMP, CPP, CPTED, RCDD, CTD-D, CISSP, CWNA, PSP, etc.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam.
  • Proficiency in Revit by Autodesk.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD by Autodesk.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular communication with the owner, prime consultant, and project stakeholders.
  • Represent Introba during meetings, workshops, design reviews, and coordination sessions.
  • Develop strong working relationships while maintaining professionalism and technical credibility.
  • Approach clients with a consultative frame of mind, listen, and provide valuable information.
  • Manage and monitor operations for continuous improvement focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct yourself inside and outside the office in a manner that reflects the dignity and professional attitude of Introba.
  • Foster and maintain a superior customer service attitude within the segment and across Introba.
  • Routinely seek customer feedback.
  • Respond to and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Handle customer and employee requests, complaints, and problems in a timely manner in accordance with Introba policy.
  • Coordinate closely with Introba's security, ICT, and aviation technology subject matter experts to understand design direction, communicate project decisions, and ensure technical consistency across project phases.
  • Understand project objectives sufficiently to discuss system concepts, design progression, schedule, and technical direction with clients.
  • Facilitate timely resolution of technical questions between project stakeholders and the engineering team.
  • Monitor design progression and ensure deliverables remain aligned with project requirements.
  • Maintain professional registrations and/or other appropriate certifications through ongoing technical training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of airport security systems and processes including Security Threat and Risk Assessments (STRA), Access Control System Design, Security Operations Center (SOC) technologies, Airport Operations Center (AOC) technologies, Emergency Operations Centers (EOC), Video Management and Surveillance technologies, Perimeter/Building security technologies, Fence, gate, and barrier security systems, and Passenger & Baggage Screening Technologies.
  • Understand systems such as Unmanned aerial vehicles, Biometric/Facial Recognition Systems, Fiber Optic Infrastructure, Wireless Communications, and Voice Communications.
  • Be able to participate throughout planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover as needed.
  • Identify schedule, scope, and coordination risks.
  • Facilitate communication between design disciplines.
  • Monitor design progression from planning through construction and coordinate resolution of technical and stakeholder issues affecting project delivery.
  • Support issue resolution throughout project delivery.
  • Develop trusted working relationships with owner representatives, architects, engineers, contractors, and technology vendors.
  • Recognize emerging project needs where Introba can provide additional engineering or consulting services.
  • Assist project leadership with proposal development, scope definition, and strategic client engagement when opportunities arise.
  • Proactively recognize project, communication, and relationship issues before they affect project delivery or client confidence.
