About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is seeking an Aviation Systems Administrator to join their Information Technology (IT) Department. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent professional work experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Information System Manager experience is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server 2012 and 2016, Windows 7 and Windows 10 knowledge is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in port operations is desired.
  • Experience maintaining and supporting wireless applications and knowledge of telecommunications principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the performance and reliability of aviation IT systems, ensuring consistent operation of applications, hardware, and interconnected technologies that support critical airport functions.
  • Manages system issues and vendor relationships, maintaining detailed documentation and driving timely resolution to minimize operational disruptions and maintain system integrity.
  • Upholds system security and compliance by enforcing controls, applying patches, and safeguarding sensitive system data in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Plans and executes system changes and enhancements through structured testing and coordination, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that improve efficiency and support evolving operational needs.
