Requirements

3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic (commercial, defense, or apprenticeship)
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience with close tolerance drilling (within .003) and precision measurement
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Nice To Haves

Experience with military aircraft platforms (especially F/A-18)
Advanced precision skills (tight tolerances up to .001 drilling / .0005 measurement)
Familiarity with aircraft structural repair, corrosion control, and finishing processes
Experience using assembly jigs, repair equipment, and specialized tooling

Responsibilities

Perform structural repairs and overhauls on F/A-18 E/F flight control systems
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
Identify, remove, and install various fasteners (rivets, hi-locks, bolts, etc.)
Execute precision drilling and measurement tasks within tight tolerances
Fabricate, assemble, and modify metallic and composite components
Apply finishes such as primer, paint, sealants, and corrosion control treatments
Utilize specialized tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.)
Complete accurate maintenance documentation and technical logs
Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives and technical standards
Collaborate with team leads and report discrepancies or technical issues
