RS&H is currently seeking an Aviation Planning Associate for our Aviation Practice in Tampa, FL. In this position, you will be a part of our Aviation Planning Service Group, providing support and consultancy expertise to aviation clients at a national level. Your responsibilities will include: · Collecting and researching raw data, organizing and analyzing it, and preparing it for use in projects and further analysis. · Conducting project analysis using technical guidance and software tools. · Providing assistance to project team members with various supportive tasks such as creating maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reports. · Performing research on issues, policies, and concepts related to planning. You will also be involved in developing conceptual planning alternatives for airport-specific planning projects. · Carrying out tasks associated with the preparation and production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for aviation projects. · Assisting in the stakeholder and public participation process. · Maintaining records, collections, and files pertinent to specific projects. · Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • You don’t need prior experience in this role, but you should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and be fascinated by the aviation industry. Your industry interest is critical to being successful in this role. You must have work or course experience demonstrating a basic understanding of airport planning issues/solutions to be considered for this role.
  • You love problem-solving. We create solutions for problems other people can’t solve. Your job? To stay curious while synthesizing data points into trends to help your team make client recommendations.
  • Your attention to detail and accuracy are crucial. You’ll create maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reports for the team. You’re the type of person who triple-checks your work before submitting it.
  • You are proactive and deadline-oriented. While your leadership team will give you tasks for the week, you’ll be responsible for managing your time daily. Everyone relies on each other to deliver work on time.
  • You have experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS. You don’t need to be an expert in any tool or planning software, but you must be confident working with them. As your expertise grows, you should feel comfortable learning new concepts to be more efficient with these systems.
