Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with DoD organizations
  • 3+ years of experience in a joint or Service Headquarters organization
  • Experience as a MAGTF planner at the tactical or operational level
  • Experience developing aviation support plans, integrating aviation C2, fires, airspace control measures, sortie generation, and aviation-related operational design for exercises or real-world missions.
  • Knowledge of Marine aviation capabilities, employment considerations, and integration across MAGTF operations development, including how these considerations influence planning, coordination, and training integration
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and instruct Marines in planning concepts and processes
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion of formal MAGTF planning education such as EWS or CSC

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience working on a General Officer and Flag Officer level staff
  • Knowledge of emerging Marine aviation modernization efforts, aviation C2 systems, and aviation MOS development pathways
  • Possession of excellent research and analytic skills
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across the civilian and military spectrum from the Action Officer to the General Officer and Flag Officer
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree
  • Completion of formal aviation planning education such as MAWTS‑1 coursework or WTI
  • Graduate of Advanced-Intermediate Level School such as SAW, SAMS, MAWS, or SAASS
