The Aviation Planner will work on a range of projects across the country. They will conduct complex studies and/or analysis and develop plans to effectively implement capital projects related to asset/facility utilization, land use and/or transportation initiatives, and other airport planning requirements consistent with business objectives. The Aviation Planner demonstrates an understanding of the broader business context and the local and regional implications of planning decisions affecting airports. Specific projects will involve, but are not limited to applying FAA design criteria, CAD/GIS (including ALPs), airfield planning, landside planning, facility requirements development, and/or project or program management support. The candidate should have experience in airport master planning, airfield planning, and Airport Layout Plan (ALP) development with knowledge and experience with FAA guidelines. A minimum of two years of experience is required. Five or more years of experience is preferred.
