About The Position

Survival Flight is accepting resumes for a full-time Aviation Mechanic (A&P) to join our FAA Part 145 Repair Station in Batesville, Arkansas. As an Aviation Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of our aircraft by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an A&P-certified mechanic looking to grow their aviation career in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training
  • Ability to travel for up to two weeks at a time as business needs require
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and overtime
  • Must be able to report to the Batesville maintenance facility within 60 minutes while participating in the on-call rotation
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to work on ladders, maintenance stands, and around aircraft in both hangar and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment while following all company safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of aviation maintenance experience
  • Experience with Bell 407 helicopters and/or Pilatus PC-12 aircraft
  • Previous experience working in a Part 145 Repair Station or Part 135 environment
  • Helicopter experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with an FAA A&P Certificate, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance on company aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace aircraft components using approved maintenance manuals and technical data.
  • Ensure all maintenance is completed in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company policies.
  • Accurately document all maintenance performed in accordance with FAA requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation after completing training.
  • Travel for up to two weeks at a time as operational needs require.
  • Be available to work occasional weekends and overtime to support maintenance operations.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft are returned to service safely and efficiently.
