Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4–5 years of aviation electrical or avionics experience
  • Experience supporting Boeing 737 aircraft
  • Aircraft fiber optic installation and troubleshooting
  • Wire termination and connector installation
  • Aircraft wiring system routing and installation
  • Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift
  • Military or commercial aviation maintenance backgrounds accepted
  • Ability to obtain OSHA Fall Protection Certification and work at heights using fall protection equipment
  • Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Certification
  • Knowledge of aviation maintenance standards and processes including: Human Factors FOD Control Tool Control Health & Safety COSHH

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret wire schematics, diagrams, and installation drawings
  • Perform bonding, resistance, and continuity testing
  • Conduct AC/DC power checks and system diagnostics
  • Install and route aircraft wiring systems in accordance with engineering drawings
  • Perform wire termination and connector installation including pins, sockets, ring terminals, and splices
  • Install and maintain fiber optic cabling, coaxial cable, quadrax, and shielded twisted pair wiring
  • Perform proper cable installation including bundle routing, spacing, lacing tape, cable ties, and connector removal/installation
  • Conduct Air Data Testing with proper assistance
  • Utilize electrical testing and measurement tools including: Megohmmeter Multimeter Bond meters Environmental crimpers Daniels crimpers AMP crimpers Burndy crimpers
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, modifications, and functional testing on avionic and electrical aircraft systems
  • Document maintenance actions and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Escalate technical discrepancies or maintenance issues to leadership
