Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3–5+ years of military avionics experience (any platform)
  • Experience with testing, repair, and configuration of avionics systems
  • Troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical systems
  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance documentation and procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (1st/2nd, potential 3rd), weekends, and overtime

Nice To Haves

  • USAF or military aviation background (highly preferred)
  • Experience with helicopter maintenance (MH-139 Grey Wolf preferred)
  • Experience with integrated weapons systems and munitions handling
  • IMDS (Integrated Maintenance Data System)
  • AFI 21-101 / TO 00-20-1 (or similar technical orders)
  • Chaff/flare systems, squibs, explosive handling
  • M240 systems maintenance
  • AMP (Aircraft Maintenance Program) experience

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, modify, and overhaul aircraft electrical, avionics, and weapons system components
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems
  • Diagnose and repair integrated weapons systems, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, and navigation systems
  • Perform installation and removal of avionics and weapons system components on and off aircraft
  • Execute functional, operational, electrical, and mechanical testing of systems and subassemblies
  • Conduct validation and verification testing to ensure system performance and compliance
  • Configure aircraft systems, weapons control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies
  • Perform munitions handling operations (load, unload, arm, safe explosives and pyrotechnics)
  • Document maintenance actions, test results, and inspections in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Inspect and verify flight worthiness of repaired and modified components
  • Utilize and maintain bench test equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Ensure compliance with technical orders, safety procedures, and tool/FOD control requirements
  • Support training and oversight of junior personnel
  • Maintain work area cleanliness, tool accountability, and documentation accuracy
