About The Position

Instruct students in all subjects required for AAS Airframe and Powerplant Technology degrees. This role involves conducting lectures and demonstrations, leading and supervising students in practical skill projects, and evaluating their performance in both content knowledge and practical skills. The instructor is also responsible for recording and submitting grades and tracking attendance.

Requirements

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant certifications.
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Aviation, or a commitment to attain four years experience in aviation maintenance.
• Aviation maintenance of commercial, military, and/or corporate aircraft.
• Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong communication skills including the ability to speak to groups.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree with a concentration in Aviation.
• Instructor experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lectures and demonstrations in assigned subject areas.
• Lead, supervise, and assist students with practical skill projects.
• Evaluate student performance of content knowledge and practical skills.
• Record all grades and submit final course grades to the registrar.
• Track attendance and submit daily to the registrar.
• Participate in the University commencement ceremonies.
• Partner with the Program Chair for continual course improvement.
• Actively engage in the Hallmark Character Program to embody and promote core values.
• Take part in at least one of the 'Big 4' Community Events to foster community engagement and support outreach initiatives.
