About The Position

The Aviation Maintenance Supervisor (Army Rotary Wing) - Night Shift is responsible for the supervision of organizational level maintenance on assigned aircraft. This role involves managing all aspects of aircraft maintenance, ensuring work is scheduled and performed safely and efficiently. The supervisor will oversee maintenance staff, handle performance reviews, address personnel issues, generate assignments, and set priorities. Responsibilities include performing scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, inspections, and routine to complex maintenance of aircraft, sub-systems, and components. The role also entails performing engineering work orders for modifications and upgrades, interpreting technical manuals, adjusting/repairing electrical systems, and providing guidance on technical orders and hazardous materials. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for maintaining equipment maintenance schedules, monitoring parts and supply inventories, ensuring material availability, and offering technical guidance to engineering staff. Training employees on company equipment per OSHA regulations and monitoring annual training requirements are also key duties. The role may involve supervising aircraft/equipment movement, conducting foreign object damage prevention walks, and meeting with customers and senior leadership.

Requirements

Able to work the 2nd shift.
Ten (10) years of aviation maintenance experience, with Three (3) years of US Army aviation maintenance experience.
Five (5) years of supervisory experience with two (2) years of Army aviation maintenance supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of OSHA and company requirements.
Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work site.

In-depth knowledge of flight line operations, aircraft/vehicle movement, and safety/hazards.
Advanced knowledge of aircraft common and special tools and test equipment, aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications and schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications, aircraft engine, landing gear, and flight control systems.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint-Required.

Responsibilities

Supervision of organizational level maintenance on assigned aircraft.
Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance and ensure all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Supervise maintenance staff, which includes reviewing employee performance, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, and setting priorities.
Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, and inspection, and routine thorough complex maintenance of aircraft, aircraft sub-systems, and components, as required.
Perform engineering work orders regarding modifications and/or upgrades to various aircraft systems.
Read and interpret manufacturers’ and company’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, as required.
Provide guidance and instruction to team members concerning technical orders, checklists, and hazardous materials.
Maintaining equipment maintenance schedules on all company assets and monitoring parts and supply inventories.
Ensure availability of materials, anticipating requirements and reordering.
Offer technical guidance to Engineering staff regarding start-up of new equipment and follow-up of maintenance programs.
Provide employees with proper training on company equipment as required by OSHA Regulations and monitors annual training requirements.
May supervise and assist in aircraft/equipment movement.
May conduct flight line and hangar foreign object damage prevention walks and housekeeping.
May meet with Customers and Company Senior Leadership as required.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
