About The Position

Bassco Services, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Aviation Fuel Farm Estimator to manage cost modeling for its growing turnkey fuel storage division. The role reviews engineered drawings and project specifications and develops accurate material, labor, and fabrication estimates for custom-built-to-spec aviation fueling systems. The work supports bidding and financial performance across nationwide private, commercial, and municipal aviation projects. The position is based at the Viscount Row office in Dallas, Texas, with occasional site travel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience as an estimator.
3–5+ years of direct experience estimating industrial mechanical or fuel/liquid storage system construction.
Deep understanding of industrial piping systems, commercial pumps, steel fabrication metrics, and electrical integration.
Experience with estimating software, QuickBooks, Excel, and Claude AI.
Valid driver’s license and eligibility for auto insurance coverage.
Must pass a pre-employment background screening and drug evaluation.

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and perform take-offs from sealed engineered drawings, architectural plans, and structural and piping schematics.
Generate comprehensive cost models for above-ground fuel farm components, including specialized fuel tanks, pump skids, containment basins, and fueling mechanics.
Solicit, analyze, and negotiate competitive pricing from raw material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and third-party mechanical and electrical field installers.
Work with the design team to align estimated production material constraints with custom structural engineering designs.
Ensure cost structures account for aviation safety, SPCC plans, environmental regulations, and local fire codes.
