This role serves as the organization's subject matter expert for FAA regulatory compliance and is responsible for the development, implementation, administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of aviation compliance programs across all aspects of flight operations, maintenance, aircraft records, pilot qualifications, training, parts tracking, and regulatory reporting. This position independently interprets and applies FAA regulations, evaluates operational compliance risks, identifies regulatory gaps, and develops corrective and preventive actions to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable federal regulations and company standards. The Compliance Specialist monitors regulatory changes, assesses operational impacts, and leads implementation efforts to incorporate new or revised requirements into company policies, procedures, and operating practices. Working with operational leaders, maintenance personnel, pilots, and external regulatory agencies, this role provides expert guidance on compliance matters, develops compliance strategies, conducts monitoring and auditing activities, and ensures compliance processes are consistently executed throughout the organization. The position serves as the first line of accountability for identifying, preventing, and correcting compliance deficiencies and plays a critical role in protecting the organization from regulatory, operational, financial, and reputational risk.
