We are seeking an Aviation Staff Engineer for our SeaTac office to support airport infrastructure projects in the Northwest Mountain region and across the U.S. More specifically, we have some large and exciting projects coming up on the West Coast that you will be involved in. You will be providing engineering and project management support, technical delivery, and potentially client management for aviation projects. In this role, you will have opportunities to work at both commercial service and general aviation airports, and will allow you to interact with customers, FAA/DOT personnel, permitting officials and multi-disciplinary C&S teams. This position is diversified with time being spent on hands-on horizontal airfield design work as well as opportunities for construction observation. Aviation experience is desired but not a requirement. This industry is an exciting place to work and something unique that some people have not realized is available. Requirements

  • 0-5 years of engineering experience in airfield design/construction or other similar filed
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and a passion for lifelong learning, or similar technical degree
  • AutoCAD and Civil3D experience
  • Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated.
  • Solid organizational skills with a focus on details.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT preferred
  • Aviation experience is desired but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of design documents including plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates, etc.
  • Coordinating with sub-consultants, interpreting design standards, attending client meetings and coordinating multi-discipline teams.
  • Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
  • Review requests for information, contractor submittals, and other construction administration duties.
  • Opportunities exist to lead/support other projects in offices across the country.
  • Construction observation duties to ensure contract documents are followed.
