About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer to join our Airport Engineering Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Nashville, TN. Your Role will involve assisting with the design of airport pavements, runways, taxiways, and airside/landside infrastructure. You will perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates for airport improvement projects. Additionally, you will prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and perform grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design calculations. You will support the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and basis of design reports, and conduct site visits and construction inspections to monitor project progress. Coordination with multidisciplinary teams including transportation, structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and environmental engineers is essential. You will ensure designs comply with FAA regulations, airport design standards, and local requirements, and assist with FAA grant and airport improvement program documentation.

Requirements

  • 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • E.I. or E.I.T. (preferred) or ability to sit and obtain within 6 months
