About The Position

Responsible for providing safe operation of PepsiCo corporate aircraft supporting the PepsiCo business and demands of senior executives and their teams.

Requirements

  • Possesses a First Class FAA medical certificate issued within the proceeding twelve (12) calendar months.
  • Holds a valid FCC Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • 3,000 hours total flight time.
  • 1,000 hours flight time as Pilot-in-Command.
  • 500 hours multiengine jet flight time.
  • 500 hours multiengine jet flight time within the last two years.
  • 250 hours in type required for promotion from First Officer to Captain.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), and other directives applicable to the aviation environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Holds an Airline Transport Pilot license and is type-rated in the specific aircraft in which he or she is to act as Captain
  • Possesses either an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Conducts flight operations in accordance with international, federal, state, local, and corporate regulations.
  • Supervises the flight crew while on flights.
  • Ensures the maximum safety, security, and comfort of the passengers.
  • Performs flight planning, briefs First Officer on flight plan details and weather conditions.
  • Ensures that the aircraft are cleaned, stocked, and prepared for flight with all provisions onboard for the safety and comfort of passengers.
  • Ensures required certificates and manuals are onboard the aircraft prior to commencing a flight.
  • Employs strong communication and interpersonal skills utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills in all phases of aircraft operation.
  • Solicits feedback from aircraft crewmembers and passengers.
  • Has knowledge of and adheres to the PepsiCo Aviation Department Policies and Procedures Manual and CFRs.
  • Demonstrates appropriate level of knowledge and skills in day-to-day flight operations and at least annually in an Operational Effectiveness Review conducted by a Standards Captain.
  • Assists loading and unloading of baggage and provides passenger needs, as required.
  • Performs the duties of Second-in-Command, when scheduling requires it.
  • Maintains current required licenses and certificates to comply with Company/FAA requirements.
  • Attends regularly scheduled ground and simulator training. Maintains flight proficiency and knowledge of all flight operations, regulations, and aircraft systems.
  • Assists in administrative activities, including proposals and feasibility studies, reports, and review groups, as assigned by management.
  • Works with the PepsiCo management team to create or enhance procedures and processes that improve the department’s productivity utilizing PepsiCo Inclusion techniques.
