About The Position

The Aviation Station Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations related to wheelchair services, cabin services, and facilities services within an airport environment. This role ensures that all services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with airport and airline regulations. The Aviation Station Supervisor will lead a team of service agents, ensuring high standards of passenger assistance, aircraft cleanliness, and facility upkeep while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in airport operations, customer service, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of airport safety and ADA compliance regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and airport operational systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license: airport security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the safe and timely assistance of passengers requiring mobility support.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) guidelines and airline policies regarding passenger assistance.
  • Train and manage wheelchair attendants, ensuring professional and courteous interactions with passengers.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Address and resolve passenger concerns or complaints regarding mobility assistance.
  • Oversee cleaning crews responsible for aircraft interior maintenance, ensuring on-time turnaround for flights.
  • Ensure compliance with airline sanitation and safety regulations, including proper disposal of waste and restocking of in-flight supplies.
  • Coordinate with airline representatives to meet aircraft cleaning standards and address specific requests.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of terminal facilities, including restrooms, lounges, and gate areas.
  • Work closely with airport facility management to ensure repairs, maintenance, and janitorial tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor equipment and supply inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to maintain a high-performance team.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, OSHA, and airport security regulations.
  • Prepare reports on service performance, operational challenges, and team productivity.
  • Handle scheduling, shift assignments, and employee performance evaluations.
  • Respond to service-related incidents and emergencies with professionalism and efficiency.
