About The Position

This is a part-time position primarily covering evening and weekend events, with some weekday shifts available based on scheduled courses and events. The role involves coordinating and assisting with video conference activities, providing technical support for AV systems and applications, leading root-cause analysis of technical issues, performing system upgrades and maintenance, and collaborating with vendors. The specialist will also maintain AV equipment inventory, update processes, and conduct end-user training. Support outside the standard scope may be requested, and collaboration with business partners and customers for project planning and requirements gathering is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related (or equivalent knowledge).
  • 1 year IT experience or equivalent training.
  • Basic written and verbal communications
  • Basic research, analysis, design skills
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure supported

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA Tech+ certification
  • BS in Computer Science or IS
  • 1 – 2 years related experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist with video conference activities utilizing the appropriate Unified Communications & Collaboration tools and services.
  • Assist with setup and operation of video conferencing systems, as well as provide onsite or remote support for video conferences and events.
  • Provide operational and technical support for all video conferences and applications including AV control systems and digital media platforms.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of technical issues to achieve timely resolution of trouble tickets.
  • Follow up with users to ensure problem resolution and develop supporting documentation of all activities.
  • Perform various system upgrades and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Work directly with vendors to support the video conference service line.
  • Maintain a thorough inventory of AV equipment and coordinate the repair and replacement of non-working, damaged and/or obsolete equipment.
  • Update and recommend processes and procedure changes to better assist team members utilizing the video conference service.
  • Facilitate and conduct end-user training programs to enhance adoption and proficiency within the service line.
  • Provide support that falls out of scope when requested or needed.
  • Collaborate as part of a team in the planning and discussions with our business partners and customers to define scope, gather requirements and outcomes as part of a project or initiative.
