About The Position

This is a part-time AV Technician role responsible for the daily operations, setup, operation, and strike of audiovisual systems for various events at Toyota Center. This includes audio set and strike, RF cable distribution, intercom, scoreboards/video boards, scorer’s table, and stats monitors. The role also involves assisting Game Operations with technical aspects of gameday production, maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing audiovisual components, and setting up press conference audio and lights. The technician will route audio and video signals to various monitors and control rooms, coordinate with contractors, and demonstrate a commitment to the company's One Team philosophy.

Requirements

  • High School graduate, some college preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in AV.
  • Excellent customer service skills proven through demonstrated ability to interact well with people and help others.
  • Technical aptitude and basic knowledge of audio and video equipment, terminology and software and hardware.
  • Must demonstrate basic knowledge of RF and audio signal flow and characteristics.
  • Portrays a professional image to meet company dress code requirements.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to properly operate small and large live sound reinforcement consoles.
  • Ability to solder audio cables and/or components.
  • Must be familiar with cable types, terminations and wrapping techniques.

  • CTS Certification a plus
  • Experience with ClearCom and/or Riedel intercom systems is a also a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operations of the audiovisual systems (audio set and strike, RF cable distribution, intercom and scoreboards/video boards) set and strike scorer’s table; set and strike stats monitors.
  • Set, operate and strike all aspects of the audiovisual systems for Toyota Center events, including basketball, third party and internal events.
  • Able to set up, run and strike portable PA systems.
  • Assist Game Operations with technical aspects of gameday production.
  • Maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair components of the audiovisual systems.
  • Set, operate and strike press conference audio and lights.
  • Route proper audio and video signals to private and common-area monitors, broadcasters, replay control room and team video rooms.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with contractors/vendors.
