About The Position

City County IT Commission (CCITC) is looking for an AV Specialist to join our Infrastructure Team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT or AV career who wants hands-on experience working with conference room technology, collaboration platforms, low-voltage systems, and security cameras in real-world, enterprise environments. You will help support AV systems across meeting rooms, courtrooms, correctional facilities, forensic centers, and healthcare-related spaces. You will work alongside infrastructure staff while learning how these systems are designed, supported, and improved over time. If you like working with technology, solving problems, and helping people have smoother meetings and better collaboration experiences, this role is a great fit. Salary Range: $65,748 – $72,571

Requirements

  • 0–4 years of experience in AV, IT support, low-voltage, or a related technical field
  • Some familiarity with tools like Webex, Microsoft Teams or similar platforms
  • A basic understanding of AV gear (microphones, cameras, displays, codecs)
  • Interest in learning low-voltage systems, AV controls, and security technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a good customer-service mindset
  • Comfortable working on a team and asking questions when needed
  • Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced AV or infrastructure roles

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or related coursework in IT, electronics, or engineering is a plus — but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and maintaining conference room AV systems (mics, cameras, displays, codecs, room controls)
  • Helping install, configure, and troubleshoot AV equipment and peripherals
  • Assisting with low-voltage cabling related to AV, collaboration systems, and cameras
  • Supporting Webex technologies including Webex Meetings, Webex Room devices, and Webex Calling
  • Helping support interior and exterior security camera systems
  • Responding to AV issues during meetings and helping keep systems running smoothly
  • Assisting with documentation, diagrams, and basic user guides
  • Providing friendly support and basic training to end users
  • Working with vendors and senior staff during installs or service work
  • Learning enterprise AV standards, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices
